I have really been slacking on the blogs this trip, let’s see what I can remember of May 18th…
It was our first day in Oceanside and we spent the morning mulling about the resort, checking out the gym/game room, the pool, and the Koi fish pond (the fish are huge!). Later, the whole crew went on an expedition to the Torrey Pines hiking/walking trails which were stunning. We saw some lizards, birds, and many different types of fighter jets on our walk but thankfully no rattlesnakes.

I just remembered a very important detail of this trip that I forgot to mention: the rental car a.k.a our very own Maserati … The day that Sam went to go pick up our rental car (which was suppose to be a standard medium-sized vehicle), he managed to convince the rental car employee to let us rent a Maserati Modena for only a few extra bucks. It was definitely a struggle trying to fit four suitcases into that car but we managed and now, we get to feel like high rollers as we drive around California.

Anyway, continuing on with May 18th… In the evening, we all ate dinner at a restaurant called the Flying Pig which was incredibly delicious. It has become a running joke that I have been starved on this trip and so, any opportunity to eat is very exciting. 🙂
