God Jul!! Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂
Today is officially Christmas in Sweden… However, the Jydes are still not here so we are postponing the celebrations until they come. Fingers crossed!
Although we didn’t plan anything special today, the ski hill did! There was a present hunt on the kiddy hill so we helped Isabelle (Stig and Maria’s daughter) to find some loot. I found 2 not to brag… After that we went to Danne’s restaurant for a hot chocolate and then headed down to the hotel at 3 o’clock to watch “Donald Duck” (that’s what everyone calls it but it’s not just Donald Duck, it’s a collection of clips from old Disney Cartoons). Watching Donald Duck on Christmas is a nation wide tradition. There are 10 short clips that are the same every year (and have been for forty or more years) but the last one always changes, this year it was a clip from “Strange World”. I was amazed that I actually knew all the movies that were played!

In the evening, we had lasagna instead of Christmas dinner which, in swedish culture, is called “the Christmas Table” and consists of many snacky foods (herring, sausage, smoked salmon, beet salad, etc.). Later, everyone pitched in to make a video trying to urge the Jydes to pull it together and drive to Kittelfjal tomorrow (I couldn’t attach it to the blog so you’ll all have to see it when we get back).

Goodnight:)
