First full day in Sweden!
While our parents were swapping the rental car, Es and I did a little bit of exploring around the neighborhood. In classic Swedish style, all the houses in the area are small, colourful, and festive! We even passed a Christmas tree farm that a family was running out of their backyard!
There has been no sign of our luggage yet so when mom and dad returned with a new rental car, we made a trip to a mall in Vallingby (a 5 minute drive from the Waaras’ house) where they outfitted themselves head to toe in H&M clothes.
In the evening, we met up with the whole gang (17 of us!) at the Jydes’ house. We enjoyed a “cultural dinner” which involved some sort of swedish meatball, Lingonberry sauce, and lots of singing… 🙂
