Inquiry 9: Art Shredz

I have fInAlLy come up with a name for my company… Art Shredz.

I have to give most of the credit for this title to my partner who suggested I call my business Shredded Paintings. When he first suggested it, I liked the idea but found it didn’t have the ring I was looking for… As well, although I have only talked about my paintings in these blogs, I do make other art as well so I wanted to avoid narrowing my skill down to just paintings. As you know by now (if you have read my earlier posts), I love to make paintings that involve my hobbies (skiing, biking, etc.) which is where the “Shredz” part comes from. I thought the play on words was kind of fun too. 🙂 For the UVic Artisan market that I will be attending on November 30th, I have mainly stuck to a skiing theme while preparing my merchandise and so, I thought this title would match perfectly.

On top of coming up with a company name that I am happy with, I also designed a logo on Pro-Create. I have barely ever made digital art before so this was a cool learning experience! Shout out to Anju for letting me use her Ipad:)

Here is the logo:

My goal was to have business cards for the Artisan market; however, I am struggling to find good websites and free templates online… I tried Shutterstock and Wix but they were much to expensive. I would have considered possibly ordering from a cheap websites, but I’m afraid they won’t arrive on time. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!! For now, I have made a design using Word, here it is…

How very un-tech savvy of me, I couldn’t figure out how to upload my Word doc. so here’s a picture of it instead…

Thanks for reading!!
